Care & Installation Guide

General Care Guidelines

To ensure the longevity and beauty of your photo prints and canvases, follow these general care guidelines:

Avoid Direct Sunlight: Prolonged exposure to sunlight can cause colors to fade. Soft artificial light is best.

Humidity and Temperature: Maintain a stable environment, avoiding high humidity and extreme temperature fluctuations.

Indoor Use Only: Photo prints and canvases are not weatherproof. Avoid placing them in areas with high humidity or moisture.

Dust Regularly: Use a soft, lint-free dry cloth or feather duster.

Handling: Keep your print inside the protective packaging until you are ready to frame it. When removing it from the packaging, touch the print as little as possible, especially the inked surface. Hold the print by the edges or use cotton gloves.
Cleaning: Gently dust with a soft, dry cloth or a feather duster. Do not use water or cleaning solutions.
Framing: Framing behind plexiglass or glass is recommended for ultimate protection.

Installation Instructions

Framing Photo Prints
  • Preparation: Larger prints are shipped in a tube to prevent creasing or folding. They may need some time to flatten before framing. Here are some methods to help (be sure to keep the print inside the protective packaging prior to framing to avoid damage):
    • Resting: Simply unpackage the print and let it rest in a safe place for a day or two.
    • Flattening with Books: Lay the print flat on a hard, even surface. Place a book on each end to help flatten it. Ensure the surface is even to prevent any creases.
  • Handling: Hold prints by the edges or use cotton gloves to avoid touching the surface where pigment ink has been applied.
  • Framing: Choose a frame that complements your print and living space. Ensure it has a glass or plexiglass front to protect the print.
  • Place the print behind the glass or plexiglass, ensuring it is centered and secure.
Hanging Framed Photo Prints
  • Select the Location: Choose a spot that avoids direct sunlight and high humidity to prevent fading and damage.
  • Prepare the Area: Ensure the wall is clean, dry, and free from dust and debris.
  • Mounting: Use appropriate hardware for your wall type (nails, screws, or wall anchors).
  • Attach the hardware to the wall and hang the frame. Use a level to ensure it is straight and make adjustments as needed.
